Cancellation Policy
Thank you for registering for Poetry & Primary Sources. Please review the following policies before completing your registration. Registration & Payment Registration is confirmed once full payment has been received. Space is limited and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is non-transferable without prior written approval. Cancellations & Refunds Participants who cancel at least seven (7) days before the course begins may receive a full refund, less any applicable processing fees. Cancellations made within seven (7) days of the course start date are not eligible for a refund. No refunds will be issued after the course has begun or for missed sessions. Missed Sessions Participants who are unable to attend a live session will not receive a refund. If session recordings are included with your registration, access will be provided after class. Course materials and presentation slides will be shared with registered participants. Instructor Cancellations If a session must be canceled or rescheduled by the instructor due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be notified as soon as possible. A makeup session will be scheduled whenever possible. If a makeup session cannot be offered, participants will receive a refund for the affected session. Rescheduling Participants registered for the full six-week course may not transfer individual sessions to a future cohort. Drop-in participants may request to transfer their registration to another available session with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability. Technology Participants are responsible for having a reliable internet connection and a device capable of accessing Zoom. Technical issues on the participant's end do not qualify for a refund. Participation Expectations This course is designed as a respectful learning community for participants ages 10 and older. Younger children are welcome to attend at a parent or guardian's discretion, provided they participate alongside the registered adult. Please note that some primary sources address sensitive topics, including slavery, racism, freedom, and injustice, and may require additional context and discussion. Participants are expected to engage respectfully with one another and with the historical content discussed.
